The Challenge
Gujarat Retail Solutions was losing market share to national e-commerce platforms and needed an online presence to complement their strong physical store network. Their existing website was a static brochure site with no transactional capability. Inventory was managed independently at each store with no central visibility, leading to frequent situations where a customer at one store could not access stock available at another location.
The management team also lacked consolidated analytics. Sales data was fragmented across 15 POS systems, making it impossible to get a unified view of business performance, identify trends, or make data-driven decisions about inventory purchasing and store allocation.
The solution needed to unify the online and offline experience, so customers could browse inventory online, see real-time availability at nearby stores, order for delivery or in-store pickup, and enjoy consistent pricing and promotions across all channels.
Our Solution
Omeecron built a unified commerce platform centered on a single source of truth for inventory and customer data. The middleware layer synchronizes inventory across all 15 POS systems and the online store in near-real-time, with updates propagating within 60 seconds of any transaction.
The customer-facing platform features a responsive web store and native mobile app with product search, filtering, reviews, wishlists, and multiple payment options including UPI, credit cards, and EMI. A store locator with real-time stock availability helps online browsers find products at nearby physical stores. The click-and-collect feature allows online orders to be picked up at any store within two hours.
The analytics platform consolidates data from all channels into a custom data warehouse, providing dashboards for sales performance, inventory turnover, customer segmentation, and marketing campaign effectiveness. Automated daily and weekly reports are delivered to management and store managers.
Project Overview
Gujarat Retail Solutions operates 15 retail stores across Gujarat selling electronics and home appliances. They needed a modern e-commerce platform that would extend their reach beyond physical store locations while integrating seamlessly with their existing inventory and point-of-sale systems. Omeecron delivered a custom e-commerce platform with a companion mobile app and a comprehensive analytics dashboard that gives management real-time visibility across all sales channels.
Technical Approach
The platform was built as a headless e-commerce system with a Laravel API backend, React storefront, and Flutter mobile app. This architecture allows independent scaling and updating of each component. The system integrates with the client's existing POS software through a custom middleware layer, ensuring real-time inventory synchronization across online and offline channels. The analytics platform was built using a separate data warehouse with automated ETL pipelines feeding a custom Power BI-integrated dashboard.
